About The Client:

This online jewellery website specialises in freshwater pearls, incorporating a wide range of sizes and colours, with jewellery fittings made of quality components. They design and manufacture an extensive range of pearl jewellery, including earrings, necklaces, pendants, rings, bracelets, and brooches.

They offer high-quality freshwater pearls at an unbeatable price range. But most importantly, they acquire directly from quality Pearl Farmers, which allows them to source the most beautiful freshwater pearls. All of their freshwater pearl jewellery are intricately designed and handcrafted to bring elegance to an outfit.  

Having an off-beat niche, it was challenging for us to bring relevant traffic to the client’s website and drive sales. The client’s major focus was to bring

With our comprehensive SEO strategies, we managed to help this client gain a 383% increase in their organic revenue, while also improving the overall website ranking. We performed general website auditing and implemented required SEO techniques based on their targeted audience and business objectives.

However, bringing relevant traffic to the website with such market competition while keeping digital aspects in mind can be quite a task. Increasing organic traffic, ensuring proper engagement for the website, driving sales, and focusing on positive conversions require a mixed balance of SEO strategies.

Challenges 

When auditing the client’s website, we noticed the web pages weren’t optimised as per the targeted keywords. In fact, the entire website required a complete SEO and content optimisation. Having an unoptimised website stagnant the growth of organic traffic and reach, thereby impacting negatively sales. 

Therefore, our primary focus was on revamping the entire website. First, we checked for competitor’s keywords ranking and planned our SEO approach accordingly. The client’s major focus was on increasing their online presence and conversion rate. We designed and implemented a bullet-proof SEO strategy revolving around keyword ranking that helped the client generate substantial revenue.

Silo Structures

Next, we focused on building and correcting the website’s SILO structure and layout. Since there were several issues with the website’s SILO structure and layout, Google was unable to find and index valuable content beyond the top pages. Apart from the structure and layout, the design and URL linked to the website wasn’t SEO friendly.

Organic Domains

The website had 1 backlink and 1 referring domain. The website’s sitemap and robots.txt had several issues; both the files are responsible to allow search engine crawlers to access URLs on the site. Additionally, metadata was also missing from the website and required complete optimisation. The website wasn’t ranking high due to the lack of relevancy between URL and its keywords.

The website lacked proper product descriptions, restricting the search engine to browse through the client’s other products. The client’s website had no material on the category sections, resulting in a loss of sales.

Another issue was the lack of integration of social media handles. Social media handles were not integrated or linked up to the website, which is a must-have in this digital world. Digital presence can boost sales and increase the conversion rate significantly. Besides, being an e-commerce business with an unoptimised website can affect the business heavily.

All of these challenges made it more difficult for us to optimise the website for better rankings on the search engine page.

Solutions

We focused on month-wise growth and implemented relevant SEO strategies that addressed each issue.

Month 1-3

#1 Installed and Optimised Website with SEO Manager App 

First, we installed an SEO manager app to determine the website’s search engine ranking. Based on the reports, we optimised the website and made it SEO-friendly.

#2 Suggested and Nominated Keywords

Next, we started exploring new suggestive keywords relevant to the client’s products, targeted audience, and business goals. We also performed a possible keyword analysis based on the client’s location to know more about relevant suggested keywords.

#3 Used Product Marketing and Coupon Submissions 

Since the prime goal of the client was conversions and generating revenue, we implemented comprehensive product marketing strategies. This helped us bridge the gaps between product management and marketing communications. Besides, we projected coupon submissions to drive more organic traffic and created positive conversions out of it.

We focused on creating a cognitive framework for the client’s freshwater pearl jewellery products to provide a better user experience to the website visitors.

During 4-6 months, we used the same SEO strategies – expect this time – with a couple of more add-ons.

#1 Created Metadata for Other Product and Category Pages

Some of the products on the website had missing metadata or lacked category pages. Creating specific category pages with metadata optimisation helps visitors understand the product better and direct them to the respective site. With our comprehensive SEO strategy, we created metadata for other freshwater pearl jewellery and their category pages.

#2 Internal Linking with Proper Optimised Content

To boost the sale of the other freshwater pearl jewellery products, we used an internal linking strategy with structured and optimised content.

We boosted their website trustworthiness with a blog post based on the business niche and attentive trends, resulting in a 321% increase in overall traffic.

Ranking Improved

#1 Content Optimisation 

Some of the areas still require heavy content optimisation. Therefore, we decided on optimising the web page content with more niche-based keywords. All the keywords were placed strategically to increase organic traffic.

#2 Anchor Text Diversification

To bring more relevant traffic to the website, we used the balanced combination of partial match and marketing mix. We also implemented anchor text diversity to allow Google to understand the topical authority and depth of your website’s content, thereby focusing on SERP ranking.

#3 Authority Link Buiding

For better reach and high Google SERP ranking, we attached wiki links and infographics relevant to the client’s business. Additionally, we also used a local listing strategy to make the website more visible in local Google SERP.

We noted that the website was facing several web page speed and responsive issues. We resolved those issues by discarding unnecessary files from the website and optimising the picture media assets.
